SAND ARTIST AND WORKSHOP LEADER

Employed by the National Theatre of Scotland in collaboration with 1418 NOW, I delivered workshops and led a team of volunteers to create a 30m x 30m sand portrait of WWI solider Walter Tull for Danny Boyle’s Pages of the Sea. The event was attended by 1500 members of the local community.

Thousands of people joined Danny Boyle to say thank you and goodbye to the millions who left their shores during the First World War, many never to return. Across the UK and Ireland communities gathered on beaches for a unique moment marking 100 years since armistice.
